Founded in 1984, one century after the creation of the Lalande-de-Pomerol wine syndicate, the name of the Brotherhood refers to the visits of the Monk-Soldiers in our region. Based on the nice motto “Cordi habeo” (“I have heart”), it gathers women and men who are conscious of being the custodians of a unique cultural and viticultural heritage based on an intimate complicity linking man with his soil.
Through travels and tastings around the world and by participating in prestigious professional and public events, as a member of the Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux, the Baillis promote the image of the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation with rigour and enthusiasm and always have at heart to raise awareness of the most sumptuous things that nature can provide.
The grades in the brotherhood are:
Premier Bailli ou Maître
Le Grand Argentier
Le Maître des Requêtes
