FICB in the Media

Our international federation needs to raise its profile to grow and attract new brotherhoods.
We were given an opportunity during the chapter of the Illustrious Order of the Knights of Medusa, which promotes wines from the appellations of Mediterranean Provence.

President Marc Lesk gave an interview to the Provençal newspaper Var Matin.

He explained the characteristics that make wine such an emblematic beverage of our civilization : aesthetics, with its richness of smell and taste, ethics (a vector of friendship and community), symbolism, particularly with its religious dimension, and without forgetting the effects of alcohol, which can be liberating but also carry dangers. On this subject, he recalled the charter on moderation to which we are signatories, in accordance with our motto: sharing the love and reason for wine. And he highlighted the contribution of the brotherhoods, bearers of history, culture and tradition.

During the evening of the chapter, President Marc was received as a Knight of Culture and Tradition.

Great Provençal wines were offered to the participants at the dinner that followed: Côteaux Varois en Provence, Bellet, IGP Var, Côtes de Provence, and Bandol.
The sips followed one another, respecting the historical protocol:

Oleo et Lampade
Medusa gaudet
Laetificat Petrificando
Alleluia Alleluia !

Thank you, friends of Méduse, for this wonderful time.
