Heading for 2027: the FICB International Congress takes shape!

We received this information co-signed by the presidents of FSCBG (Fédération Suisse des Confréries Bachiques et Gastronomiques) : Philippe Pillonel, and the Organisation comitee : Michel Chabloz.

Two years before the event, the Fédération suisse des confréries bachiques et gastronomiques (FSCBG) held a seminar to structure the major stages in the organisation of the 53rd International Congress of FICB Brotherhoods, scheduled for May 2027. This was a key moment to take stock and
map out together the outlines of an exceptional event, between the shores of Lake Geneva and Lake Neuchâtel, and the lands of Valais and the Fribourg area.

The countdown is on! At a two-day seminar, members of the organising committee met to make progress on preparations for the future International Congress of Brotherhoods, to be held in Switzerland from 6 to 13 May 2027.

This strategic meeting marked a decisive stage in the structuring of the project. Over the course of the two days, the main themes were discussed, including the selection of emblematic sites such as Chillon Castle and the terraced vineyards of Lavaux, as well as the coordination of the programme’s highlights, host logistics, potential partnerships and the communication strategies to be developed from 2025 onwards to ensure international involvement.

Our common goal is clear: to make this congress an event that reflects our passion for the traditions of wine and gastronomy. The ambition is also to showcase Switzerland’s heritage and the local art of living, and to strengthen the links between brotherhoods from all over the world. The organisation is progressing at a good pace and a clear roadmap is taking shape.
The next few months will be devoted to fine-tuning the content, formalising collaborations and laying the solid foundations for a unifying and unforgettable event.
